The Best Strawberry Pie 

Ingredients: – 1 pre-baked pie crust – 4 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced – 1 cup granulated sugar

– 3 tablespoons cornstarch – 1/2 cup water – 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract – Whipped cream or vanilla ice cream for serving (optional)

Instructions: 1. Prepare the Pie Crust:Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Roll out your pie crust and press it into a pie dish. Prick the bottom and sides of the crust with a fork.

Bake the crust according to the package instructions or until it's golden brown. Allow it to cool completely before filling.

Prepare the Strawberry Filling: – In a saucepan, combine the sugar and cornstarch. Stir in the water until smooth. – Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens and becomes translucent.

– Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in the vanilla extract. – Let the mixture cool for about 10 minutes.

Assemble the Pie: – Arrange the sliced strawberries in the cooled pie crust. – Pour the cooled sugar mixture over the strawberries, ensuring they are evenly coated. – Gently shake the pie dish to distribute the filling.

Chill and Serve: – Place the pie in the refrigerator and chill for at least 2 hours, or until the filling is set. – Once chilled, serve slices of the pie with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream, if desired.
